![]() I then decided to try another couple of films with the same settings, one with Direct Stream again and one that had Direct Stream Video and Transcoding Audio, and i got the same result of slight stutter every 10-15 secs for about 3-4 secs each time. I even watched my LAN Port utilisation on my NAS during the film, and it only moved between 500kbps and 1Mbps at any given time. ![]() I then tried the moving again and converted it to 720p 4Mbps and also 480p 1.5Mbps (in case its a bandwidth issue on my wifi), and it still did the same thing. I also tested by playing it on my Samsung S6 Edge Device, and again perfectly smooth playback with Home Streaming set to Maximum. The movie is a Direct Stream, so no Transcoding happening on the Server either.Īfter the film finished i decided to run a test, and i installed VLC player on my Fire Stick and the result. This isnt the issue, as i have Refresh Rate ON, so the TV changes to 24Hz when i start the movie. Watching a film tonight and every 10-15 secs, i would get 3-4 secs of slight stutter on the playback, almost like the refresh rate of the file was different to the Display Device (55" Samsung TV). ![]() I'm convinced this is actually an issue with the Plex Client for the Fire Stick, but seeing as i'm serving my content from a QNAP NAS, I thought i would post here in case anyone had any ideas (also posted on the plex forum).Ĭonnected via a 5GHz Wifi Connection (10ft from Router).
